“I am proud to endorse Marci Suelzer for Illinois State Representative District 52. She knows that true leadership means putting the public first. The only way we will move forward as a community and a country is to elect people who are committed to progress, and Marci shows a steadfast commitment to make the kind of changes we need. Marci will be a great partner and I look forward to working together to serve Illinoisans in the next term.” — Sean Casten
"If we were looking to endorse an experienced governmental technocrat, we might go with Republican Barrington Hills Village President Martin McLaughlin. He has served as chairman of the Barrington Area Council of Governments, and he’s done a commendable job as village president.
But the General Assembly in the next two years is sure to be grappling again with legislation relating to a host of important social issues, such as reproductive and LGBTQ rights. We believe Democrat Marci Suelzer, an Island Lake attorney, has a more thoughtful viewpoint on such concerns. Among Suelzer’s priorities are ethics reform, assisting small businesses, strengthening local schools, environmental protection and clean-energy jobs. Suelzer is endorsed."
